What is shutter speed?
Shutter speed is the unit of measurement which determines how long shutter remains open as the picture is taken. The slower the shutter speed, the longer the exposure time. The faster the shutter speed, the shorter the time the image sensor is exposed to light.
How is shutter speed measured?
Shutter speeds are measured in seconds or fractions of a second. For example, a shutter speed of 1/100 means 1/100th of a second or 0.01 seconds. This is also known as the "exposure time".
My own images using a fast shutter speed 1/4000 - 1/600
My best image is the one on the left because it was taken with a fast shutter speed, whereas the one on the right is too blurry and was taken with a shutter speed of about 1/2.
